This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect about individual visitors in this website and how we use it.

1. What information we collect and how we use it

By principle, we collect the least amount of data possible to be technically able to deliver content over the web, gather the information necessary to track basic traffic patterns and enforce good security practices.

Website analytics

This website uses analytics to help us understand traffic trends and improve our content. The tool we chose is Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first platform that doesn’t collect personally identifiable information, nor uses cookies or any form of user tracking in favour of anonymous aggregated and de-identified data. Please refer to the Plausible Analytics Data Policy for more information.

Contact form

Our website contains contact forms that can be used to send messages and enquiries about our services. It is necessary to read and store your name, e-mail address and message in order to respond.

Service-related log and diagnostic data are automatically collected when you access or use our services and which we record in standard log files. This data may include your IP address, page accessed, date and time, device information, browser type, settings and information about your activity on WellCAD.com

This information is necessary so we can monitor security issues and to prevent fraud. All logs are kept in a safe storage environment, rotated periodically and never shared with any third-party service.

Functional Cookies

WellCAD.com uses cookies exclusively to remember website settings and handle user sessions. Only first-party cookies are used.

2. When we access or disclose your information

We will only use your data in a manner that is appropriate and according to the basis on which that data was collected, as outlined in the previous section, to provide services, fulfil our legitimate business interests and to comply with the law.

We will only pass your data to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • You have provided your explicit consent for us to pass data to a named third party. Currently no data is shared with any third-party.
  • We are using a third party purely for the purposes of processing data on our behalf and we have in place a data processing agreement with that third-party that fulfils our legal obligations in relation to the use of third-party data processors.
  • When required under applicable law and for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

3. How long we keep your data

We take the principles of data minimisation and removal seriously and have internal policies in place to ensure that we only ever ask for the minimum amount of data for the associated purpose and delete that data promptly once it is no longer required.

1) analytics data via Plausible Analytics is only stored aggregated and de-identified;

2) contact form messages are kept indefinitely;

3) website logs are discarded after 30 days.

4. How we secure and store your data

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser.

Usage logs are kept in a safe environment, accessible only to authorised personnel.

WellCAD.com is hosted on an Amazon AWS server based in Europe. Content delivery is handled by Cloudflare and routed through the closest server to the user location.
