CoreCAD

CoreCAD is a digital core description workspace integrated into WellCAD.

Developed by and for geologists, CoreCAD combines true depth-based digital data acquisition and graphical illustration into a single step. The software add-on allows the acquisition of data for processing, interpretation, and combination with other data rather than generating a patchwork of bitmaps.

  • Dedicated workspace with zoom, snap, and sophisticated graphical data entry options for tabletlaptop, and desktop.
  • Data can be logged graphically by drawing curves, inserting intervals and symbols which automatically translate into digital depth referenced data.
  • All graphical patterns and symbols (lithology, sedimentary structure, etc.) are customizable and organized in user-defined libraries to meet reservoir-specific requirements.
  • The core description sheet layout is completely customizable and can be extended or integrated with core photography, CT scan, wireline, and laboratory data.
  • Pre-build templates for clastic, carbonate and outcrop descriptions are available and can easily be customized.
  • Log templates allow standardization of how parameters are logged. Generic data containers allow a high degree of customization.
  • Multiple depth systems (e.g., log and core depth) can be managed simultaneously.
  • Easy import, depth registration and digitization of hand-drafted core descriptions.
